 LI: To write an abstract noun sentence

An abstract noun is something that can’t be physically touched, as in a feeling (happiness, fear, love, etc) also the 5 senses. This week, LS2 have been learning about Metaphors and Nouns. We got into groups and were introduced  on what is nouns , what we see in the poem ( The Structure) and the 5 senses. Our group created a Metaphor about happiness; Happiness is the blooming rainbow that shines when the sun comes out after the rain. A Metaphor is a comparison of two things without using ‘like’ or ‘as’. We created our own poem as a group about Jealousy.

For writhing we had to make and play for Mr Wrong reading group our play  

had to be interesting so people in our group can vote  of witch recount do we 

want to use so then voted on one person to share our ideas to the class it was a play about a girls who scream because there was and beehive in her trees house

For writing we Learned about punctuation. We first did a poster about the different punctuation marks and what we use them for, these included speech marks,Full stop,Ellipses,Coma,Explanation mark,Brackets,Apostrophe,

LI: To learn how to make interesting sentences.

This week we learnt how to make Boring sentence into very Interesting sentences For an example you start of with, I was in my room for 20 minutes then you could make it Interesting like, This morning i stayed in my room cold on my bed for 20 boring minutes Because of last night.

Recount

LI: To plan and write a recount
This week for witting we had a head start. We were given a number, our number was 2.Then we had to write things that go together with the number for example February is the 2nd month, 1+1=2, 2 eyebrows etc. After we had to write a list on what we did in the holidays trying to use the same technique as the number activity, which was just getting every idea out first. We used TREE to write a structure of a recount. TREE stands for Title,Reveal,Events,Ending

This week for Writing we had to make a google draw then we had to copy and past our line tag or Whanau and Family time then we had to put arrows pointing where TREE go. Then we had to highlight Exciteing vocabs green then we need to color punctuation in red.

Line tag

This week for writing we had to make a google Doc. Then we had 40 minutes to write about the game we played after lunch on Tuesday we had to wrte something about line tag and using some of the 5 Ws. Then Mr Ogilvie told us that we have 40 minutes on Writing again. We had to make our second writing better that our first writing.

Text Types

LI: Recap on structure and language features of written texts.

This week for writing we had to do a google slide about Text Types for writing. Then we had to go to the end of the slide then you had to put then in order.

This week for writing we had to do 3 posters talking about Directions Recipe and Build and we had to put it in order of Title End result Materials Pointers and steps then we had to put the images on the google draw on the side of the the order.

This week for writing we had to make a poster on a google draw then we had to tell people what a verb is. A verb is an action for example jump,stab,run,hide, and punch. Then we had to blog it then we had to put it on the must do task list.

This week for writing we had to make a Descriptive Writing we had to put in six things about our character and six things for our setting then we had to write a Descriptive Writing

This week for writing we had to think about our character   Then we had to use the 5 sense which are smell taste sight and more and we had to go the 5 Ws and are where dose it take place and whats is it like and when.

This week for writing we had to make a planner with the group then we all had topics then we had to vote the one we wanted and we also had to choose a setting about the story that your doing and we also had to put some information in the boxes .

We had to make a narrative based on our own topic.

LI: Is to know what a synonym

This week for writing we did synonyms we had to to do a slide pretension on synonyms we then we had to write down what we know about synonyms.Then we had to put in examples on synonym for example stone and a piece of rock and big and large.

LI:What to pick our on topic to do our explanation.

This week for writing we did a explanation on our own topic.My topic was monkeys i wrote down the introduction.Then i did the main points i had to describe what the monkeys do and we did the conclusion which was the last thing to do.

This week for writing we had to do a explanation on fireworks.Then we had to put a instruction on fireworks.Then if were finish then we had to put the title and the photo in.   

Explanation

Today for writing we did and explanation work we had to talk about the must do task list and write paragraphs about he must do task list.And you had to put in question about should people should do when they on the must do task list

LI To identify and use punctuation types independently

Today for writing we had to punctuation types

I did Speech marks and Question marks full stops comers. We  had to put in the stuff that makes sense and read it untill you see a mistake.

Today for Writing we had to do four punctuation.There was Question marks Apostrophes Exclamations mark and Commas we Had to write the example we also had to write what it means and we had to out in a photos on all of those 4 punctuation.
