Hauora | Inquiry




LI:to learn the 4 dimensions of Hauora. 
This week we are learning more about hauora and the 4 dimensions of hauora. They are Social well being, Physical well being, Spiritual well being and Mental/Emotional well being. We had to make a poster, skit, movie/film and animation using one of the 4 dimensions.

Social well being is our relations ships that we can have with other people in different ways. We can have relationships with family, friends, Pets and others. Physical well being is about your body. Spiritual well being is about your beliefs and self worth. Mental/Emotional well being is how you control your emotions and feelings. Its the way we think as we grow up.

Tongue Twister Battle

This task was on extras, we had to make a flip grid video  of you saying  Tongue Twisters, We had to say one of these,

Music

Today in Music we learnt how to play C, F, G, and A chords on a xylophone or a ukulele and we played the song 1 call away and count on me. and we had to use the different instruments to play the song. And I also learnt how to play shotgun on a xylophone and we also had to listen carefully of how to play the whole song on the instruments.

Duffy


Today we had a Duffy Assembly and had a special visitor to our school which is  Robert  rakete  he played in the brown wiggles. And also he is on the radio breeze He also went on dancing with the stars.

Basic facts

Basic facts helps me learn my Addition, Subtraction,Division it also helps when some one tells me a math equation then i  could say the answer fast.

Term 1 Kiwi Can

LI: To recap everything we did kiwi can.

Today in kiwi can we recapped all of our learning from term 4. Our big theme was positive relationships,our 3 models were

-Positive communication
-Friendship
- Cooperation

We made 3 groups. Each group talked about the 5w's & the H for 1 model. After we talked as group, Each group shared their ideas back to class.

-I did to be better at being confident and to stand up to talk.
- I've learnt that  friendship is communicating with each other.
- The thing that i have enjoyed this year is how we play an energizer to get our brain working.

This week for reading we were learning about another artifact and each artifact has a story about a soldier or a nurse. My artifact contains a story about a soldiers name is Stephen Radcliffe Archer . We had to first read a story about him. Then we had to make a info graphic about our solders.

Basic facts:
Basic facts help me learn my Addition, Subtraction,Division it also helps when some one tells me a math equation then i  could say the answer fast.






Prototech: Prototech helps me  think of the right Answer but if we get a wrong answer  it will help us on  what we did to work on.



Prodigy: Prodigy is a fun way for use to learn: Subtraction, Addition, Multiplication, and Division. And more like how many vertices on a square or How a graph works.

Reading

Today in reading we are learning all about different soldiers who fort in WW1 or WW2 . and we all had artifacts that belonged or the soldier had in WW1 or WW2

For writing we rewrote the story little red riding hood as a recount. The type of recount we did was an imaginative recount, an imaginative recount is writing a recount from your imagination. This week we did the  new Title ideas, plan and the reveal.

LI: to play songs using the notes C, F, A, and G
I was freeplaying the piano to start with. On the piano it was really cool to play. I then got off the piano and started playing on the Chime Bars

Ki o rahi

LI: to learn the real game of Ki O Rahi
We played the game of Ki O Rahi. There are two teams in Ki O Rahi. Ki Oma and Taniwha. Taniwha gets points by throwing the Ki to the Tupu (The Rock), Taniwha team are only allowed in Te Roto and Te Ao. Ki Oma score by touching the Ki to the Pou (Teeth) and scoring a try by getting the Ki to Pawhero (Island), they are only allowed to be in Te Ao, but if they are going to get a try they can go through Te Roto and get to Pawhero.

Today we had to do basic fact which was part of one of the must task. The thing we have to do is we ethier do the Addition or subtraction. I did Addition and did it up to basic fact number 5.

Today for math we had to use the snag golf equipment to see how far the ball will go,But i wasn't here.We had to collect all the data and turn it into a graph and we also had to make sentences about how far the balls went using new words that we have learnt in math.


Hauora

For Inquiry our task was to pick something that  has for thing on it,But my group did a chair and each leg was the four dimensions, Social well being, Physical well being, Mental well being,Spiritual well being, then we had another task where we had to get a partner, my partner was David . Then we had to put all the white boxes in the box in the middle then me and my partner had to think where to put it, then we had to make our own one.

Today is kiwi can we were leaning about friendship. We learnt that there are times we can say NO!
We talked about situation were it is okay to say NO! We discussed different way to to say no that don't  cause disrespect.We did a activity  called empathy role play. A group acted out situation and as a class we needed to decide the way to say NO!, Our options were, 
No thanks
Lets do something else instead 
It's just not my thing
That's not nice thing to do
