Poem

What we did was we had to Pick a poem like Limerick,Haiku,Diamante,Cynquain, we had to 10 minutes we write our poem, Then we had to preform but I and a few people did not Finish our work fast enough so that means we did not go up to preform 

Kiwi can

LI: To learn what is friend ship is.

Today at kiwi can we started of with a energiser game which was Last man standing, After that game we talked about good and bad, what we did in that activity we had to make a group then go to one corner then Mr H handed our cards that had secrets on it, Then we had to Put the good secret where the purple balloon was if it was a bad secret then they take it to put it under the orange balloon. 

 

Writing

For writing we Learned about punctuation. We first did a poster about the different punctuation marks and what we use them for, these included speech marks,Full stop,Ellipses,Coma,Explanation mark,Brackets,Apostrophe,

Inquiry

This week for inquiry we talked about Poetry, Poems have rhyme and some done have rhyme theirs different kind of poems, A poem is a piece of writing in which the words are chosen, Rhymes are words that sound similar to each other when you say or hear them

Maths

Today for maths we used the snag golf equipment, What we did with the snag golf equipment was to had to write in your Maths book a Tally chart that says MISS,NEAR,HIT, Then you needed  to get a partner then your partner has to tally like if i hit the target is when you draw one line one hit it goes together with the other two.

SSR Selfie

This week for SSR selfie the book i choose was captain underpants then i had to talk about whats in the story.  

Basic facts

Today we had to do basic fact which was part of one of the must task. The thing we have to do is we ethier do the Addition or subtraction. I did Addition and did it up to basic fact number 5.

Kiwisport

For Kiwi sport we played the Real version of ki o rahi. We had to apply all the learning we did to play the full game Ki O Rahi. We had two of the teams which are Taniwha and Kioma. Kioma wears yellow tags and Taniwha wears Red tags.

Cricket

Yesterday was a hot day for our cricket inter school challenging different schools, I've learnt so far is how to bowl and to be backstop when the ball is close to me then a could thow the ball to the wikit then they would be out.

The teams we challenge was Stanhope, Tamki primary,Stonefleid,Panama School, We lost against Stone field,Stan hope, But we won Against Panama school and Tmaki priory

Reading

Today we made a slide about julian dennison.We found ou infomation about him,Like when did he grew up and what school.One the 2 slide we wrote the questions that will be showed.

LI: To explore vocabulary needed to future investigations.

Today in maths I learnt how to make a graph by rolling a die 100 times.We had to tally how many times a number was rolled and me and my partner learnt how to make a good title for a graph and also how to write a  labels and data.

Measurement

This week we leaned about Measurement, We also had to do a Google slide, On a vocab about what Vertical Horizontal length Estimate Width. 

Inquiry

LI: Identify characteristics of being a good citizen

Identify characteristics of having a healthy/non healthy relationship

This week we did 2 pallets, And we also had to make a poster on Good and Bad things about teamwork. Then we did a body outline about good thing inside the body and bad things outside the outline.

Ki o rahi

L.I to learn how to play the Kioma role.

For Kiwi can we were learning about the Kioma's positions and where he can go and not go. We played We had played a similar version of Golden child except we had a kicker which is actually in the game. Everyone had been split into Kioma and Taniwha.

Reading

L.I To identify the different strategies we use as readers.
In Reading we were learning about the strategies that we had picked when we did GKQ. We did GKQ (General Knowledge Questions) to see who knew the most questions right and if you got the question right then you get to pick one of the reading strategies, My groups reading strategies are Building a vocabulary,Questioning.

Writing

LI: To learn how to make interesting sentences.

This week we learnt how to make Boring sentence into very Interesting sentences For an example you start of with, I was in my room for 20 minutes then you could make it Interesting like, This morning i stayed in my room cold on my bed for 20 boring minutes Because of last night.

Music

LI: to learn how to play the ukulele

For music we started off by playing the Ukulele,Xylophone, Then 5 people went outside to play the ukulele with Mr Ogilvie. I learnt how to use the chords C, G, A and F on the ukulele and Xylophone

Kiwi can

LI: to praise someone

Today we learnt about how to praise someone at kiwi can.The topic is Positive Relationships and the theme is Positive Communication. The games we played at kiwi can was R.P.S that stands for Rock,Paper,Scissors and Kick ball.

Everyone had to throw the ki at the tupu to get a score under 1 minute, Our score was 25. it was time to get the whole team hitting the Tupu we had 1 minute but, Our score was 1 minute 29 seconds.
