Venn Diagram

LI: to create a DLO of tool for harvesting.

In this Venn Diagram it shows how people used to celebrate matariki, how people celebrate matariki now and how do now and then do the same thing. I worked with Heavenly and Liletina as a group and we found information about what people do on matariki now days. As we created this I learned some new interesting facts about matariki such as maori people make things out of flax like kites.

LI: To learn the seasons in Te Reo Maori.

The word for seasons in maori is tau. spring, summer, autumn, and winter also have their own words. We used the Te Ara website to learn these words.

For Maori we were learning about the lonely star and about tango-tango who is one of the brothers in the story where the sons separate their parents .

Patupaiarehe and the Mountains

LI: To learn about patupaiarehe are faires and geography of Aotearoa.  

Patupaiarehe are faries that live in forests. and have magic powers like super strength and curse people. the Patupaiarehe  we learnt about today live on mountains. we learnt about myths and legends by listing to the story of ihenga and searching for information,and using google maps.

LI: Was to learn about food in Maori.

This week for Maori we had to get into partner my partner was juel. Then we had to make a line  then miss whire odie told us to make a link then she numbed us 1 to 15. Me and  my partner was 7 seven was cabbage kale celery. Then we had to make a google drawing. About putting down how to say cabbage  Kale and celery. Then we had to pronounce it properly Then we had  to blog it

LI: was to make a poster about Paikea

This week for moari we had to make a poster on paikea. Then mis  whire odie read us the book whale rider then we had to get images from google to put the the paikea poster.

This week for Maori  Whaea ode read us a story out in the beginning  this book is about when Papa and Rangi were together then their kids decided to move them a part because they were angry living in a dark place on their parents stomach so then so spead then apart then Rangi was was crying rain.

This week for Maori we played a Whai  we had to make different kid off them. We had to our teacher could fireodie. We had to do the para-shoot that was so easy. We also can do the diamond to any number to 1 to 10. If we picked it up then we shaow other people.

This week for Maori we made fishes with paper strips. We had to watch a video on how to do the fish. So then we all worked hard on making it for matariki. Then we had to make a star but we had to no time.

This morning for Maori we learnt about the Maori new year for matariki. Matariki is about the seven sisters.Then we did a word sheet then we had to write down the song at the back of the paper then we did a research on a Maori story

This week for Maori we did a slideshow about us then we had to do a sheet that was we had to draw a photo on the feeling and put in the Maori word in the boxes.

Today for Maori we had to to do our pepeha on a google slide then we had to write were we live and what our mums and fathers names then our sports we play and we had to look for a photo of our selfs and then we put in our great great grandfather and grand mother then we had to send it to fire odihe so she can look at it.

Today we did a Maori lesson.first we had to do the role.then she told us to go on computer then we go on the Maori dictionary then we had to this song we had to put that Maori words in English then we had to go on the google sheet and put all the words in Maori words then we had to translate all those feeling on the side on the Maori words you did.
