This week was our softball inter school at Dun Kirk park. When we went there there were only one school there witch was point England. Then we quickly had to practice hitting the ball and pitching before our game. We won 3 game against Tamki primary, panama,point england year. We lost to Glen brae,pointengland year 6

Reading

This week for Reading we had to make a DLO about the Tasman fires we had to get into of Four then we had to fill out the main ideas,Who,What,When,Where,Why. Then we had to move on to Summarising. Then we had to write 20 words after that we had to choose the 6 most important words Then we had to wrte the 6 words into sentences with the 6 most inportant words.

This week for Kiwi sport we went out to Learn the basic areas on the field for Ki o Rahi.

Music

LI: Was to learn the chords for Shotgun and One Call Away.
This week for music we learnt how to play the song One Call Away and Shotgun. We practised chords just like C,F,G,A .The Music instrument we played was Metallophone,Keyboard,Xylophone. I played the Xylophone.  We practised by listing to the song One Call Away and Shotgun.  

Active listing/Kiwican

LI: Was to be a good listener 

This week for kiwi can we talked about our topic active listing and our theme positive Relationship. After that we played our energiser remote control after the game we had to talk about how we used our listing.After that we played another game for our activity the game we played was Chopsuey salute. 

Maths Poster

LI: To learn things in maths that connect with the number.

Today we had to get in to a group of three. After that we got given a number,Our number was 13. Then we had to write as many things that go's together with the number. I've learnt my number bonds because we had to do home work to learn our number bonds.

Today for cyber smart I had to make a post about safe pas word creation rules and i had to make rules about how to make a safe password like this the first rule you should know about making a secure password is that the password you make should not be anything about you like a phone number, home address, or a pets name

Recount

LI: To plan and write a recount
This week for witting we had a head start. We were given a number, our number was 2.Then we had to write things that go together with the number for example February is the 2nd month, 1+1=2, 2 eyebrows etc. After we had to write a list on what we did in the holidays trying to use the same technique as the number activity, which was just getting every idea out first. We used TREE to write a structure of a recount. TREE stands for Title,Reveal,Events,Ending

Data/Graph

LI: To display data on a graph to make generalisation about data.

This week of Term 1 we were learning about graphs and data.  We had gotten into groups of 5-6. We created graphs that our teachers have recorded down by asking questions.

What is Included in A Graph:

1) Title - Shows what the graph is about
2) Labels - The labels are on the Horizontal and Vertical Axis, The Vertical axis  is the amount and the horizontal is what the graph is.
3) Data - What we use to make the graph.

Ki o Rahi

LI: Was to learn the basics of Ki o Rahi

This week we learned about Ki o Rahi for Kiwi sport. Also we have a new coach Called Shanice. The first thing we did was watching a video on how the game K: o Rahi. Then we had to answer Her questions she said to us. After that video we went outside to play games to get setup on how the game works.  

The first game we played was Rats and rabbits but our coach changed it a bit so it matches the video we watched. It was called Taniwha and Koima the second game was called 8 pass then we played another game that was called Multisport.

LI: To have a positive relationships

This week at kiwi can it was our first day of kiwi can but we have a new leader his name is Alapati. The first thing we did was for Alapati to introduced him self to everyone. Then we played a game called eyes up and eyes down. To play this game you need to go in a circle then when Alapati says eyes down then you need to look down then when he says eyes up then you need to look at someone but if they look at you then you need to bop down. Then we had to talk about what we did in the game. After that we played numbers 123 after that game we played jockies up.
