This week for Maori we had to put the days in Maori were it is meant to be. we had to go in the Maori dictionary. We had to do one at a time then we had to move it to the right place

This was our last week of kiwi sport we were learning how to play in singles and had one and one. we had to lean to serve the the ball the champion. W had to to try be the champion.

Karaka/Time

This week for Maori we had to do 2 blog post, we had to work in peers to finish the the clock we had to translate the th maori times using translate. then we had to use the clock generator then take a screen shot of the time.

Just frame it

This week for inquiry we were making photo frames for Friday which is market day, We also make small photo frames. We already planed our frames last term on google draw.

For kiwi can this week we were learning about respect to others, Everyone has their own beliefs and  own thoughts. Our energizer was could spot the differences we had to get in pears the we had to number our selves 1 and 2 E.g 1 has to turn around the and then 2 has to change the 1 has to turn around and see what your pear changed.

This week for kiwi can we had to been learning  about respect, For this kiwi can session we had to get in two groups we had Ms mac and Mr cemanu one group went over with mis mac then went out the Theater what we did with mr cemanu was challenges it was 3 challenges we had to find a partner then go back to back then try get up, Is was really hard to get up, Then we had to get in a big circle then we hooked our arms with each other then we had to try get up, After that we had to make a pyramid with our bodies.

Maths

LI: identify the number before and after numbers from 100-1000

We were leaning how to rounding numbers , e.g what if i measure my pencil then it goes over 12 then you then you round the number back to 12, If it goes near the 12 then you round the number up so it is 12. We were given ten pencils each we had to measure them all then we had to put the results in our math book. Then we had to go to the other groups then copy there rustles.

Basic facts

Basic facts helps me learn my Addition, Subtraction,Division it also helps when some one tells me a math equation then i  could say the answer fast.

Kahoot | History of rugby.

In this extra literacy task we could either pick to make a kahoot or an animation based around the
rugby world cup and rugby history. e.g Where would the next rugby world cup be held?
It was an option to use a true or false question or/and multiple answers on a kahoot. Unfortunately
we couldn't make it public because we are students so we just took a screenshot them.

Last week of swimming

LI: To learn how to stay alive and float in life jackets.

This week was our final swimming session of the term. We had combined groups and wore life jackets. We have been learning about how we could stay alive in the deep water. We had to Make a chain and try to turn and swim with the chain. We also had to tuck our knee into our stomach we also had to pencil dive into the pool wants we were done we had to Jump in the pool and high five the instructors

Time past and future

LI: apply inquiry, literacy and numeracy skills to learn about the RWC. In this extra math RWC tasks

we have been researching and finding information about the Time, Past & Future for RWC. We had to answer different questions about the time,past & future. e.g When will the 11th RWC will be held? and how old we would be when it is held? Each rugby world cup happens four years after each other. We used a pencil and paper to calculate when they were going to happen.

Rugby Events

in this literacy task we had to use your literacy and researching skills and find information about the rugby event and write what happened on the day the date of when it happened and what kind of event it was. The three events that we used were RWC 2011, RWC 2015, and RWC 2019 and we found videos about what happened in the event.

RWC Match making

Blurb:This week we have been combining all of numeracy and literacy skills to complete multiple tasks about the RWC this year. For this literacy task we had to match a player in the rugby world cup to a position that they play. We had to add pictures to show the players and some facts about the players. e.g Richie Mcaw played as a flanker in the All Blacks and also was the first ever All Black to reach 100 caps.

Simple machines

L.I to make a Rube Goldberg machine with the six simple machines.

For Inquiry we were challenged to build a similar machine as Rube Goldberg. A challenge was you had to use one of the simple machines which are Incline Plane, Pulley, Screw, Wheel and Axle and a Lever. My groups challenge was to try to turn on the chromebook. Our Machine had included, Levers, Incline Plane and a screw. We had also used parts of our bodys to finish of the machine. Our machine was successfully working. The materials that we had used were Cardboard(for Incline Plane), Domino's, Pan Balance, Marbles and books.

The biggest challenges we had to face was trying to get the materials to stay up still and trying to figure out what's gonna happen next. 

I think if we were to do this again I would've bought more materials and incorporated more and included others ideas.

Places to visit in japan

We had a inquiry task it was to find places to visit in japan, we had to use out researching skills to add facts about the place and also write why we would want to go there, we also had to find 5 places to visit in japan, the five we picked were Osaka , Mt Fuji , Sapporo , Kyoto , Tokyo.

World time

LI: apply inquiry, literacy and numeracy skills to learn about the RWC.

 Today we have been using  numeracy and literacy skills to complete task RWC for this year. We had to find time zones in japan and around the world.We had to convert times to AM and PM, AM Is at Morning, and PM is in the night. We used the site Time converter, We also showed the 24 hour time for some countries.

LI: to cope with challenges .
We learnt how to face challenges and experience/attempted them. We looked at 3 different types of challenges and wrote about our feelings when we face those challenges. We figured out coping strategies in groups of three. 

Bombs Grids

 For maths we had to work out to find a successful path, without touching the bombs. We used arrows to show the successful path.Also we had to explain in sentences to make a successful path just like coding.These sentences needed to explain how the arrows move. We used Turn,Rotate 1/4 or 90, we also used clockwise or anticlockwise, Slide down ,Slide up,Slide right,Slide left

Flip, Rotation, and Translation

LI:What is  Flip, Rotation, and Translation
Were were Leaning about Flip, Rotation, and Translation Flip is to turn over with a quick move, Rotate to move round like a circle,Translation is to slide and object. We had to use the google drawing and use our triangles that we cut i made mine using the shape on the google draw, We also had to make take a photo of your self with your hand next to your ear. Then flip it and rotate it and Translate it.

What is a pulley? It is a simple machine made with a rope and wheel,How we learnt about pulleys is with a rope and a two sticks and two people them one person pulls the rope and wait to see it they fall.

This week for kiwi can we had to make four lines, first we had to recap what we did last week. Then we were playing bunny vs rats, We had to grab the cone as fast as you can before the other person get the cone, we also recapped on what we did in the game. Then we played the activity witch was challenges, The challenges we do sit ups, push ups, squats, bur pees, then we had to re make the catch praise, write the abcs backwards, and we had put the Maori colors English.

Speech finals

Today was the speech finals, We had a special guest who came to our school from Tamaki college, It was so amazing how people went up with their confidence. My favorite poem from the juniors was Kendrick his poem was earth day , Reason why i like earth day is to keep the earth clean and stop the pollution so animals don't die.My favorite speech from the seniors was Sulia her speech was about the dangers of technology, The reasons why I like dangers of technology is to get off the computer and spend time talking, laughing , and also spend time with your family.

LI: to learn about wheel and axles and lever

A wheel is a circle that rolls along the ground. An axle is a stick or rod that goes through the center of the
wheel. A lever is a bar that rests on a fulcrum to lift up a heavy load by applying pressure on one side.
We had a poster for both simple machines and we had to answer the questions on the poster.
We then had to make a wheel and axle. We then later in the week tried to use the lever to pick something
up.

We started swimming with stream line

We all had to remember to put our arms behind your ears, and face down.

We had to use the boards to kick with our face facing up. After we had to use boards facing up and kicking.

We had to dive to make our stomach we close to touch the ground.

Challenge
We had to use any swimming techniques to the end of the pool. I used freestyle and going on to the back to get air.

Ihumatao

For reading we have been working on ihumatao, The slides we had to do was 12,13,14,15, We had to research using a article with dates. We had to make sure it is in the right order, because if it wasn't in order it wouldn't make any sense.

Making 3d shapes

For math we've been working on 3D shapes, we made 3D shapes using paper. We made cubes also a square based pyramid.We used a ruler to make the out line straight, also we used tabs to make the 3D shape.   

Rube Goldberg

We were leaning about Rube Goldberg.Rube Goldberg is a actor, author, sculptor, cartoonist.  We made our machine with our bodies. 

The lion king

Last term we have been doing plays we got the opportunity to visits Orison Junior college we watch are amazing performance. We watched the lion king, It was a amazing performance. We also got a tour of the whole school.

For kiwi sport we have been swimming this was a great kiwi sport because we all got to know new swimming moves. We also got to use new things to use for our swimming.We got onto the bus then arrived to the pools. First there were three groups i was in group 3. We were learning on how to do stream line , rolling to get breath , Also floating on our backs.

This week we went to MOTAT . We when into mind lab and sit on the carpets. Then we had explore everything in MOTAT. Then we went back to mind lab to make cars and also a flashlight. What we used for car was Motors,Battery packs , and propellers.
